Dramatic period facelift

In this dramatic renovation, we gave this 1950s weatherboard home a complete overhaul.

In addition to replacing its façade, windows and roof, we introduced new outdoor features.

Having completed an extension on the house almost 10 years prior, Rhonda and Jason approached us to work on their large-scale renovation. They wanted to increase liveability but maintain the integrity of the original design.

We installed new Weathertex weatherboard and replaced all the double-hung windows for updated period style. We took this opportunity to install insulation in the walls for added thermal comfort.

The merbau timber deck and veranda with cypress gold posts added new opportunities for outdoor entertaining. The merbau timber accents were also carried through to the feature side gate. The transformation from before to after was striking.

 

Before

{We engaged Jesse and his team to give our 1950’s weatherboard home a facelift during 2019. The level of professionalism and care for the work undertaken and our property during the renovation was more than we could have hoped for. Jesse offered helpful design suggestions along the way when needed and any minor hiccups were dealt with promptly. We have received many compliments on the finished work and we hope to have Jesse back when we get around to the next stage of renovations.{
